PostSubject: Religion (The Gods, Demi-Gods)   Sat May 19, 2018 12:25 am

Like a Star @ heaven Introduction Like a Star @ heaven

Take note that as of the start of this RP, characters have no knowledge of the Gods. They do not know that there are any divine beings in existence, and so they are completely oblivious to any sort of divine intervention at work in the background.

For this reason, there exists no organized religion in the RP at present. There are no established Cults or Sects. Instead, there's little to no knowledge of the divine. Once the divine reveal themselves during the course of the RP however, your characters are free to form their own Cults and Sects.

Demi-Gods still exist, and you are free to create a Demi-God character based on the lore, selecting a God of your choice as their parent. Keep in mind that your Demi-God character will have flaws in addition to the perks that come with their divine parentage. Your Demi-God character can either be a reincarnation of one from the previous Arboria RP (if they failed to get sealed by the end of The Aporia Arc) or they can be a new Demi-God who was spawned in Neo Aporia.

PostSubject: Krenia   Sat May 19, 2018 12:31 am

General Information
Name: Krenia
Role: God of Death
Status: Ruler of the Underworld; the destination for the souls of 'bad' people when they die.

Favored offerings: Cats. Krenia really enjoys cats. It is believed that all cats go to the Underworld when they die; where Krenia dotes on them fondly. He also enjoys items which have a high monetary value; such as jewelry, in particular rubies.

Personality
Krenia is insanely devoted to his job of punishing people who lived sinful lives. In addition, he somewhat enjoys watching people suffer through embarrassment, or being forced into humiliating situations for his own amusement. Underneath it all however, he is not necessarily a bad guy. Krenia is the most likely God to help someone when they pray; often times intercepting prayers meant for other Gods or Goddesses and answering them himself. He usually asks for some bizarre offering in exchange for his help; often times involving stealing a possession from his current romantic interest or delivering a gift to them on his behalf. He does seem to genuinely care for certain people, and he does demonstrate that he cares a lot more for his friends and followers than most of the other Gods do for theirs. Krenia however, doesn't know how to properly express his feelings due to his isolation. This results in his gestures of love and friendship falling flat or causing offense.

Demi-Gods
+ Natural Necromancers: Any child of Krenia's will have an affinity for Necromancy.
+ Natural Cryokenetics: All of Krenia's offspring are wildly talented with Cryokinesis.
- Unlucky: Krenia is hated by the other Gods, as a result, his offspring are plagued with bad luck.
- Awkward: Krenia's offspring are much like himself; socially awkward. They will frequently misspeak and say something offensive or with a double meaning by accident.

PostSubject: Plantar   Sat May 19, 2018 12:38 am

General Information
Name: Plantar
Role: The God of Nature
Status: Second in command when it comes to the chain of power between the Gods.

Personality
Plantar is a happy-go-lucky being who doesn't seem to take his job too seriously. In fact, he has, at times, forgotten what it is he is supposed to be doing or who exactly he is. Each year he takes a "vacation" from his duties along with Solaris and it results in what is known by the mortal beings as "winter." The length of this vacation varies yearly and sometimes can drag on for months longer than normal. Generally when this happens someone has to actually remind Plantar of his duties. He demonstrates some degree of bipolar disorder; his moods change quickly when things don't go the way he wants them to and in spite of being "one with nature" he quickly turns nature against all those who offend him. His favorite "trick" is to cause a cactus to grow from someone's asshole, a feat he calls "cactASS." In spite of his mood swings and blatant craziness, he cares very deeply about nature and about his friends.

Demi-Gods
+ Beloved: The offspring of Plantar are beloved by their father; and he dotes on them fondly by anonymously gifting them potted plants, some which can be used for alchemy.
+ Natural Chloromancers: Plantar's progeny are wildly talented with plant based magic and are so in tune with nature, that they can communicate with plants.
- Delicate Constitution: Plantar hates seeing animals suffer; all of his offspring become violently sick if they eat meat or other animal products - and they have very delicate stomachs in addition. They will suffer physical pain if they see animals being harmed.
- Photosynthesis: All of Plantars offspring require sunlight for several hours a day in addition to sleep. It won't kill them to go without it, but going without it can make them lethargic and cranky.

General Information
Name: Lunis
Role: Goddess of the Night and Moon
Status: None

Favored offerings: Things related to darkness. Moon stones, bottled blood, fallen stars and Gothic items.

Personality
Lunis can be summed up in one word and that word is snobby. She looks down at everything and everyone from her high throne in the Underworld. If you are not singing her praises or kissing her ass then you are more worthless than the dirt beneath her feet. Frequently she will resort to threats when challenged and if you are a mortal, she will carry out those threats. Lunis very much loves to be doted on and worshiped by all; even the other Gods. Lunis has no tolerance for competition and she must be the center of attention at all times. She is chronically sexually frustrated and despises being unable to have relations with those she desires as a result of her reputation as a chaste, virgin Goddess. She values her reputation among the other Gods and craves greater prestige, more followers and a higher position in the hierarchy of the Gods.

Demi-Gods
+ Cleric: Lunis's progeny are adept with healing abilities; they can aid those around them and make exceptional Clerics.
+ Natural Hemomancers: All of Lunis's children are blessed with an affinity for blood magic.
- Jealousy: As their mother is jealous of those who are competition to her, so are her children. They easily become jealous when someone prettier, smarter or otherwise more desirable than them comes along.
- Chastity: Much like their mother, all children of Lunis are prudes who value their virginity above all else. They'll lose their cool at displays of perversion and will become conflicted when faced with any sexual urges.

General Information
Name: Solaris
Role: God of the Sun
Status: Known by his peers as 'the party God' Solaris has little interest in ranks.

Favored offerings: Items pertaining to sunny days and sex; parasols, sun stones, condoms, bottles of vodka, drugs and even the occasional pair of panties.

Personality
Solaris is a cheerful individual who seeks only to have a good time. He believes in the phrase 'live and let live' and shows no interest in poking his nose into other peoples business provided that their actions aren't harming anyone else. Solaris loves to have a good time and his idea of a good time revolves around having as much sex, and drinking as much alcohol, as possible. If Gods could get wasted, he'd be wasted 24/7 and he would always be drugged up. He seeks out mortals for pleasure, but quickly becomes tired of them afterwards and never calls them again. He is the most likely God to produce Demi-Gods as a result.

Demi-Gods
+ Pyromancy: All children of Solaris are wildly talented with Pyromancy.
+ Immunity: Solaris gifts his children with immunity to drugs and alcohol - they will never die from overdoses, but they are still liable to get extremely drunk or high.
- Commitment Issues: Solaris's progeny have commitment issues, much like their father. This can extend to things beyond relationships as well.
- Addiction: All of Solaris's progeny have addiction problems which can range from addiction to sex, alcohol or drugs. They all have an individual vice which plagues them.

General Information
Name: Faeith
Role: Goddess of Trickery and Deception
Status: The lowest ranked; save for Krenia.

Partner: None
Children: None
Other Family: None
Favored offerings: Faeith enjoys odd things which she believes to be unique, such as common items with some sort of unusual fault in them; like a necklace supposed to be made of blue stones but one of them was made red by mistake.

Personality
Faieth is regarded as stupid by the other Gods; she is considered slow and exceptionally dim-witted by all. Most argue that she isn't even a proper Goddess and shouldn't be regarded as such due to her seeming lack of involvement in any events as well as her lack of power. Faeith is indeed stupid; she spends her days trying to figure simple things out; such as how a door works. However, she is known to be just as promiscuous as Solaris and tends to sleep around with mortals a lot when given the opportunity - however, this is mostly done to agitate people. It is not uncommon for her to kidnap a mortal and 'fill in' for them for several days; thus potentially ruining their relationship if the deception is discovered.

Demi-Gods
+ Deception: Although they come off as trustworthy, the children of Faeith can lie for days and they do it so well that it is almost impossible to tell that they're lying.
+ Graceful Butterfly: All children of Faeith are born with delicate butterfly wings which enable them to fly - but only a few feet above the ground.
- Stupidity: The offspring of Faeith are slow academically. They struggle to learn complex things and at times, even moderately difficult tasks prove too much for them.
- Social Butterfly: Those born of Faeith require a lot of attention; they are sensitive and require many friends to feel complete and secure.

General Information
Name: Manna
Role: God of Magic
Status: Leader of the Gods, the highest ranked.

Favored offerings: Manna enjoys things that are related to the study and practice of magic. He enjoys items such as wands, magical scrolls, bottled mana, mana stones and Aether pieces.

Personality
Manna is revered as the wisest, strongest and most powerful of the Gods - and he makes a point to remind everyone of that on a daily basis. Manna is obsessed with himself; so much so that he has little time to respond to prayers. He sings the praises of his followers who do everything for him; claiming that he has the best followers of all the gods and that his worshipers are the most loyal. Manna has specific mortals who he favors above all others and he dotes on them constantly. He makes it no secret that not all of his creations are equal to him. In spite of his huge ego and extreme vanity, he cares very much for his creations. His motivations generally revolve around his vanity and need for recognition. He views his progeny as an extension of himself as opposed to actual individuals with their own purposes and desires, and he views his creations as indebted to him for creating the universe. Manna has the largest ego of all the Gods, and he is the first to demand worship.

Demi-Gods
+ Natural Magicians: All of Manna's offspring are in tune with magic. They have large Aether pools and make great Mages.
+ High Charisma: Manna's children are beautiful creatures; and they know it. They are all blessed with divine beauty regardless of their species. Their father occasionally rewards their beauty with gifts of fine clothing, jewelry and other items such as mirrors.
- Vanity: All of Manna's progeny are exceptionally vain. They need regular recognition of their good looks and/or achievements, otherwise they become insecure and depressed.
- Ego: All of Manna's children have large egos; they think they are special and they won't hesitate to flaunt that fact. They can be blinded by their own self-importance and take on more than they can handle, trying to avoid the help of others.
